Maul’s Bike Shop in Halifax, MA
“Maul’s Bike Shop has been around since 1988 when Dick Maul accidentally started a bike shop in his garage. He retired about ten years ago, and I took the helm and have been at it ever since, with tons of help from Tony Long, Josh King, and Justin Gamache (huge thank you to you guys!!). Although we love all kinds of bikes, our priority has and always will be BMX. I would like to see BMX continue to be awesome for a long time, and I would like to see more kids riding and having fun. We do our best to try to encourage this. Bike shops are in a position to be a positive influence for kids and for BMX in general.
Blackout has been a great partner for a long time, I bought a pair of Kink “Fat Nuts” off of Zack at a contest at a skatepark in Boucherville, Quebec, Canada back in like ’94 and the rest was history. Chris has been great, too… He knows what he is talking about and will steer you in the right direction with your BMX purchases. In fact, everyone I have dealt with at Blackout over the years has been fantastic, thanks for being awesome guys!”

Fractured Bikes and Board Shop in Grants Pass, OR
“We opened Fractured Bike & Board Shop almost exactly a year ago with the idea that we wanted to focus on the kids in our small community of Grants Pass, OR. All of the kids in our family ride bikes and we quickly realized that unless you were looking for a road bike or mountain bike, there really wasn’t a place to shop. Our shop is based around the needs of people from our local race track, River City BMX, and our skatepark. A couple months into being opened we were given the opportunity to sponsor an awesome family race team, JDR. That quickly inspired me; Amy, to get more involved and I started The Fractured Crew. We have a team of bike riders, skateboarders, and scooter riders. We travel together to competitions and other skateparks. Recently The Fractured Crew did a demo at a new skatepark grand opening and the guys were all asked to come back to teach park etiquette and the basics of riding. Grants Pass Parks and Rec has also invited us to local bike functions to teach kids about safety and park etiquette. Mike, my brother and co-owner took on the race side of things and ran for track operator of River City BMX and won. He works on bringing in new riders and providing them with what they need to race. It’s important for us to stay involved with the kids and families in our city. Grants Pass has always been known as a retirement community and offers little to young people. Our goal is to keep kids off the streets getting into trouble and on bikes, boards, or scooters. Big shout out to those who make us look amazing: (Bikes) Jamison Stout, Delen Gibbons, Patrick Wick, Tyler Wheeling, Dylan Williams, Erik Lennon, Chase Busbee & Micah Kimzey (Boards) Athenian Russell, Taevin Fouse, Cody Klinebough, John Ervin, Isrial Davis, Jonathon Dowdy, & Gauge Meadows (Scooters) Drew Beaton, Kiran Hughes, Tanner Maciel, Reed Beaumont, Cole Hancock, & Blaize Chambers. Oh and The Steez Baby aka Maxton Stout”
